Our client is seeking a Network Engineer in Denver, CO.

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage secure and efficient datacenter network solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop networking strategies that align with business objectives.
understanding of Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and troubleshoot issues using packet capture tools.

Proficient in network Automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Rest API’s)
Experience with SDN platforms (OpenDaylight, CIsco ACI, ONOS, etc.)
Create and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams and configuration guides, utilizing tools such as Visio and Lucidchart.
Understand and apply the OSI model
Experience with BGP, IPv6, multicast, and other networking protocols
Understanding infrastructure in terms of power, cooling, and airflow in data center environments.
Understand best practices for cloud integration.
Design and execute network testing methodologies to ensure system reliability and performance.
Automate testing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in network assessments.
Present and develop network roadmaps, outlining strategies for future growth and enhancements.
Summarize complex technical information clearly and effectively for diverse audiences.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, to support project success.
Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to enhance network performance and security.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in network architecture, engineering, and implementation.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and others.
Expert in data center network architecture
Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies.
Knowledge of data center infrastructure and enterprise networking environments.
Proficient in technical documentation and using design tools (Visio, Lucidchart).
Hands-on experience with packet capture and analysis tools.
Experience with network testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Wireshark, Iperf, NetFlow).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to connect various system components.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to summarize information effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Familiarity with virtualization and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Openstack)
Experience with NetConf/Yang, GRPC, and Openflow protocols
Knowledge of physical and optical fiber networks
Knowledge of containers technologies a plus (docker, kubernetes)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
