Our client is seeking a Network Architect – Infrastructure & Data Center in Washington, D.C.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, secure, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure in a high-security environment. This role involves strategic architecture planning, hands-on implementation, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
• Design and maintain secure, high-performance network architectures.
• Lead all phases of network and security design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop system specifications, architecture diagrams, integration/test plans, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance requirements and maintain security posture.
• Architect and manage infrastructure components: routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS,
• VPNs, wireless controllers, load balancers, and ISE.
• Drive network automation and support complex deployments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align network solutions with organizational objectives.
Skills & Requirements
• U.S. Citizenship and Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years (or Master’s with 10+) in WAN network architecture.
• Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure and IAT Level II (8140/8570) certification.
• Expertise in Layer 2/3 networking, BGP, MPLS, SDN/SD-WAN, LTE/5G, VPN/IPSec, IDS/IPS.
• Experience integrating enterprise networks with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of DoD standards and federal engineering practices.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
