Role Summary

As a senior manager within the company, you will play a pivotal role in connecting the field operations to the development team. Your dynamic, open-minded approach and charisma will allow you to deliver top quality results, a customer-focused mindset, and ability to build strong multifamily subcontractor relationships will be critical to our success. You’ll be part of a collaborative team working toward a long-term vision of creating exceptional living spaces for our residents and establishing our client as a major player in the Texas multifamily market.

Responsibilities
  • Build a trusted partnership with the leadership group to ensure the company vision is executed and grow the multifamily business in Texas.
  • Maximize the relationships with your subcontractor network to collaborate with the internal design, engineering, and preconstruction teams.
  • Create efficient, cost-effective construction and design solutions that meet customers immediate and future business needs and budget requirements.
  • Onsite and Offsite Oversight: Monitor all aspects of onsite and offsite construction to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Subcontractor Management: Cultivate new subcontractor relationships and maintain existing ones. Leverage your strong network to assemble skilled teams for each project.
  • Construction Oversight: Direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to project timelines.
  • Materials and Inventory: Select appropriate tools, materials, and equipment. Track inventory and manage procurement efficiently.
  • Contractual Compliance: Ensure compliance with contractual conditions and performance expectations.
  • Document Control: Review project documentation, manage historical data, and maintain accurate records and ability to track finances at all stages.
  • Safety Advocacy: Foster a safe working environment for all team members and subcontractors.

What you will need to bring to the table.

  • Multifamily subcontractor relationships – You will need to have deep established relationships with multifamily subcontractors in Dallas Fort Worth.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in construction science, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience working with either a developer builder or Multifamily General contractor in Dallas Fort Worth with an extensive subcontractor base with proven project history.

    Technical Skills

  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and manuals.
  • Skilled at negotiating contract terms and mediating disputes.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems effectively.
  • Communication and Relationship Building:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with employees, visitors, and contractors diplomatically.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Passion for Long-Term Vision: Excited about contributing to our long-term growth and vision as a multifamily builder.
