Our client is seeking a Motor Hardware Test Technician in Norcross, GA.

Role Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Motor Test Technician to join our innovative aerospace and EV industry team. This role involves hands-on work in our motor lab, dealing with large-sized electrical motors and various hardware tasks. The technician will work closely with engineers, assisting in simulations, wiring, welding, and working on the actual product/motor. You will support the engineering team in the design, evaluation, and testing of electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft. This role involves hands-on work in a lab environment, focusing on large electrical motors and high-voltage installations.

Responsibilities:
• Assembly and disassembly of motors, transformers, generators, and other large electrical equipment.
• Conducting electrical installations, including high voltage panels.
• Performing tests on motors and related equipment in a high-power lab environment.
• Assisting with the installation, instrumentation, cabling, and troubleshooting of motors.
• Engaging in research and development activities, ensuring every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities.
• Conducting simulations, wiring, and welding tasks.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:
• Ability to work in a clean, well-maintained workshop environment.
Top 3-5 Requirements:
• Experience with high-voltage (650 volts +) installations and motor systems
• Background in the automotive industry or any field involving motors
• Knowledge of electrical motors and power distribution (GeorgiaPower, Southern Company, etc)
• Ability to work in a lab environment with large electrical motors
• Familiarity with lab equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)

Plus Skills:
• Adherence to health and safety standards (OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NR 10, BS EN 50110-1)
• Experience with mechanical tools for prototypes and test equipment
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and related drawings
