Key Responsibilities

  • Design of mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.

  • Perform system design calculations and analyze mechanical system options with industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software.

  • Knowledgeable with all relative building codes and standards.

  • Prepare design documents to detail the mechanical systems on the basis of design report, drawing (Revit) and specification formats.

  • Review design deliverable assurance of technical accuracy and presentation quality.

  • Coordinate work with architects and engineers of other disciplines.

  • Manage projects for timely technical delivery and day-to-day liaison with design and client team.

  • Mentor junior engineers within a team to develop their careers and design standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Architectural Engineering with a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

  • 4+ years of mechanical design experience.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and LEED accredited professionals are preferred.

  • Experience in surveying and recording existing mechanical systems.

  • Track record of sustainable and innovative approach to design.
