Our client is seeking a Marketing Copywriter x 2 in Vienna, VA/Hybrid
Role Description
To create and produce concepts and copy for product marketing, advertising, direct response and marketing communication products and campaigns to support and market the brand. Contribute to marketing plans, campaigns and strategies, championing them throughout marketing and with external partners; assist team with implementation. Perform more complex creative copy/editing and sensitive messaging for various promotion mediums using in-depth knowledge of marketing skills and brand guidelines with minimal supervision. Acts as Point of Contact for highly visible and sensitive/crisis communication messaging. Provides assistance/training to lower level team members.
• Create conceptual approaches and copy solutions to promote products and services to increase member engagement, branding recognition and market penetration goals – Advanced
• Collaborate with business clients and marketing staff to understand and accurately translate marketing communications into clear, cohesive, concise and effective communications piece(s) for campaigns and various media – Assist in leading
• Provide consultative editorial/development services to clients to ensure appropriate copy solutions are used, content accuracy, and grammar consistency in style and image – Assist in leading
• Provide creative solutions for marketing campaigns, product launches and other initiatives – Advanced
• Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the product owner’s products, goals and business objectives - Assist in leading
• Keep current with industry standards, competitors' practices, regulatory and copyright considerations and remain up to date on market trends and communications best practices to enhance creativity of product marketing communications
• Analyze quality of work through review of marketing summaries/metrics to determine if copy materials/methodologies were effective, produced the desired results, or need to be changed – Advanced Analysis
• Make presentations to stakeholders and management on marketing campaign initiatives, outlining objectives, action plans, and results – Assist in leading
• Provide input and/or make recommendations for Corporate Marketing Plan modifications due to market environment changes or requirements – Considerable Impact
• Participate, facilitate and/or implement marketing initiatives across all channels, by conceptualizing and translating information into understandable copy and content - Assist in leading
• Contribute to the development of web content marketing strategy to include links within web sites, emails and other digital channels – Assist in leading
• Monitor, submit update and/or audit product information on sites to ensure information accuracy, compliance with corporate marketing plan, regulatory requirements and standards - Considerable Impact
• Ensure communications content allows for latest SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) capabilities to support market penetration and align with marketing strategic initiatives – Considerable Impact
• Implement industry best practices for readability, compliance with ADA standards and success metrics –Assist in leading
Tailor all communications by channel and according to strategy – Assist in leading
• Manage vendor relationships, including budget analysis and planning – Assist in leading
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Advanced knowledge of marketing, advertising, direct response, and corporate communications principles
• Experience in copywriting, communications, editing, and proofreading
• Advanced knowledge of marketing, advertising, direct response and corporate communications principles and communications production processes
• Experience creating conceptual approaches and copy solutions for marketing communications in media to include SEM/SEO methodologies, with minimal editorial supervision
• Advanced research, analytical, and concept organization skills
• Ability to articulate findings in oral/written presentations of creative work to various audiences
• Experience managing/leading multiple projects, resolving conflicting requests, meeting changing requirements/priorities and accomplish marketing goals
• Advanced organizational, time management and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in order to achieve project goals
• Exp creating and writing marketing content for campaigns, product launches and other initiatives (ads, emails, web content and brand messaging for member facing content)
