Our client is seeking a Manual Tester in Seattle, WA.

Role Description

Responsibilities

o Experience in software requirements, development and testing with creating and executing quality assurance test plans, scenarios, test cases, checklists, scripts, capacity planning, including tools development and usage. (7 years)
o Demonstrated collaboration on project teams and interaction with project managers, business and functional analysts, developers and the business community directly related to quality assurance responsibilities and roles. (7 years)
o Experience with reading, interpreting, and reviewing code
o Demonstrate test management processes and technical skills, including an understanding of manual and automated test execution and performance related tools. (7 years)
o Demonstrate knowledge using version control and defect tracking methods, including an understanding of associated tools. (7 years)
o Knowledge of project management skills, including an understanding of project management processes and related tools. (7 years)
o Knowledge of application software development life cycle concepts, lean and agile best practices, environment and configuration management, as well as test management methodologies and practices. (7 years)
o Experience with Mobile technologies (iOS or Android) having both is a plus
o Experience working in an Agile environment
o Experience using HTTP Proxy applications: Charles/Fiddler
o Experience using ADB / Logcat/ StackTrace, etc.
o Web testing Experience and experience using browser tools.
o Experience with Mobile devl tools (Android Studio/Xcode )
o Outstanding organization and planning skills
o Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle
o Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
o Excellent risk mitigation and process improvement skills
o Sensitivity and collaborative relationship-based awareness working with project sponsors and stakeholders
o Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
o Strong attention to detail
o Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
o Ability to research and recommend new and/or enhancements to processes and tools, based not only on technical factors, but financial and cultural as well.
o Technical systems knowledge for various applications and systems.
o Basic understanding of data models and able to write queries against a database
o Ability to manage and work in numerous concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints
o Ability to instruct and educate others on developing applicable test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts
o Team player who exhibits effective interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
o Ability to interpret and understand the architecture and infrastructure of systems
o Knowledge iOS and Android
o Knowledge of tools HTTP Proxy tools like Charles/ Fiddler
o Ability to debug logs using xCode/ Logcat

Skills & Requirements

6+ years of testing experience with proven hands-on experience on one or more of the following
• Testing experience with proven hands-on experience on one or more of the following:
o Programing Language: Java, Java Script
o Web Technologies: Selenium, Playwright
o Web testing – Puppeteer and Jest – JavaScript Testing
o Android Testing - Android Studio Espresso and Kotlin
o Mobile Technologies: Appium, Android Studio Espresso, Kotlin, Swift
o API: Web services /Rest API
o DevOps: Jenkins, Groovy, Knowledge of Kubernetes and Dockers
o JUnit/ TestNG/NUnit
o CICD pipeline using Jenkins, Groovy
o Test repository – JIRA & Zephyr
o Work closely with application Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners to achieve shift left testing
o Ability to prioritize and handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
o Databases: Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and Non-SQL databases(e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB)
o Attention to detail is required
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good to Have:
o Experience with Jenkins Continuous Integration a plus
