Your new role
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Design Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing low-voltage systems for commercial and residential projects, including structured cabling, AV, security, access control, and smart building technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer low-voltage systems including data/voice cabling, AV, CCTV, access control, and building automation.
  • Create detailed design documentation including floor plans, riser diagrams, device layouts, and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to inform design decisions.
  • Review and interpret construction documents, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Support the project team during the construction and commissioning phases.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in low voltage system design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit
  • Familiarity with NEC codes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RCDD, CTS, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with smart building platforms and IoT technologies.
  • Knowledge of LEED, WELL, or other sustainability frameworks.
