Your new company

They are a growing employee-owned GC specializing in a number of commercial sectors and are set to reach $1bn revenue in the near future. To account for this growth and to support a healthy pipeline of projects, they are looking to add on Superintendents to their operations in Maryland, DC & Virginia.

Your new role

  • Leading on $50-60m average multifamily projects in the DC-Baltimore region
  • Lead the site team from construction start through project closing, acting as a liaison with the project owner.
  • Ensure the contract scope is fully understood by the site management team.
  • Develop and maintain a baseline production schedule, ensuring efficient sequencing of construction activities.
  • Administer and maintain an effective Quality Control Plan.
  • Manage subcontracts and purchase contracts within the General Contract framework.
  • Review and approve invoices and requisitions to ensure correct payments to vendors.
  • Oversee and enforce a safe working environment.
  • Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel, fostering a positive work environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 5 years of experience in construction, especially ground-up or rehab projects in the multifamily space with wood-frame structures
  • A degree in construction or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to manage and train teams effectively.
  • Strong skills in scheduling, budgeting, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and contracts.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, Project, Procore, and other tools.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Preferred certifications include PMP, LEED, CCM, or other industry credentials.
