Lead Cyber Risk Modeler – Contract – Atlanta, GA/Hybrid– $60.00-$70.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Lead Cyber Risk Modeler in Atlanta, GA/Hybrid.
Responsibilities
Cyber & Catastrophe Analytics
• Act as a subject matter expert in vendor cyber models and applied analytics to support risk management and underwriting.
Research & Model Evaluation
• Develop benchmarks and validate model components and outputs.
• Present findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Conduct research in cyber risk and man-made accumulation risk domains.
Model Development
• Design and enhance risk models for cyber and other perils, including man-made accumulation risks and natural catastrophes.
• Apply actuarial principles and advanced analytics to improve model accuracy and performance.
Training & Collaboration
• Share knowledge through training sessions and collaborative initiatives across the Tokio Marine Group.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to advance cyber risk capabilities.
Skills & Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Advanced degree or actuarial credentials (ACAS/FCAS) preferred.
Required Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in cyber risk modeling, actuarial work, or catastrophe modeling within the P&C (re)insurance industry.
• Proficient in vendor cyber models and related frameworks.
• Strong foundation in statistics, simulation, and stochastic modeling techniques.
• Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders and build networks.
Plus skills
• Programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages preferred.
• Familiarity with man-made accumulation risks and catastrophe modeling.
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn.
• Project management experience is a plus.
