Your new company

Our client a general contractor in Maryland is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join their team, working on commercial and tenant fit-out projects valued up to $4 million. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the construction industry. You will report directly to the owner and work alongside another Estimator on the team.

Your new role

• Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Assist in preparing bid proposals and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Work closely with senior estimators and project managers to refine cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions.

What you'll need to succeed

• 1+ years' experience in construction or the estimating field in either a GC or subcontractor environment.
• A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or relevant experience) is a plus.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
