Our client is seeking a Jira Administrator & Agile Coach in Glen Allen, VA.
Role Description
The JIRA Administrator & Agile Coach will lead modernization, standardization, and rehabilitation of enterprise JIRA boards across the bank while coaching teams and leaders on Agile best practices. This hybrid role combines deep hands-on JIRA administrative expertise with Agile coaching to ensure proper adoption of tools and frameworks across technology teams.
• Conduct assessment of current JIRA usage and configurations.
• Lead rehabilitation and standardization of JIRA boards, workflows, and governance.
• Serve as Agile Coach for Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe teams.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support and coach Product Owners in backlog refinement, prioritization, and story definition.
• Review Azure DevOps or JIRA boards to manage sprint delivery, updating tasks as necessary.
• Remove impediments and proactively identify risks impacting delivery.
• Promote Agile best practices and coach teams on self-organization and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple products, teams, and stakeholders.
• Track and communicate team performance metrics such as velocity and predictability.
• Foster strong collaboration between IT, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
• Support Agile transformation initiatives across the organization.
• Encourage a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Create Product Status Reports in alignment with PMO standards.
Skills & Requirements
• 5+ years JIRA Administration experience.
• 3+ years Agile Coaching experience.
• Experience establishing governance and standards.
• Strong communication and leadership coaching skills.
