Industrial Project Manager

Job Description
This is a Project Management position with one of the largest general contractors in the United States with over $5B in annual revenue. In this role you will be overseeing large-scale industrial building projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and maintain compliance with all required documentation.
  • Develop and manage project budgets for assigned construction projects.
  • Collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages, ensuring thorough planning and execution.
  • Lead project meetings, establish milestones, and prepare detailed monthly reports for owners.
  • Oversee critical job processes such as RFIs, submittals, and pay applications, including approving payment requests and negotiating subcontractor change orders.
  • Handle project scheduling, quality control, and overall site logistics to keep projects on track.
  • Efficiently manage closeout procedures to ensure a smooth project completion.
  • Engage with new and existing clients to understand their needs and align them with company services.
  • Provide oversight to assistant project managers, administrative staff, MEP managers, and safety personnel.
  • Partner with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout all project phases.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
  • In lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience is acceptable.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience working with a general contractor, experience working with tilt walls and/or general industrial building projects strangely preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a project management role.
  • Proficiency in sector-specific software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting construction drawings, including updating and maintaining project documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate resources, personnel, and timelines to meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of market trends, including pricing conventions and industry shifts.
