Our client is seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Manager – Healthcare & OKTA for a Remote opportunity.
Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IAM Manager to lead our Identity and Access Management initiatives, with a strong emphasis on OKTA implementation and healthcare compliance. This role is critical in ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient access to systems and data across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in IAM technologies, particularly OKTA, and a solid understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and management of the enterprise IAM strategy, with a focus on OKTA.
Oversee user lifecycle management, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH) and internal security policies.
Collaborate with IT, Security, HR, and Compliance teams to align IAM processes with business needs.
Manage integrations between OKTA and various applications (cloud and on-premise).
Develop and enforce IAM governance, policies, and procedures.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments related to identity and access.
Lead incident response efforts related to identity breaches or access violations.
Mentor and manage a team of IAM analysts and engineers.
Skills & Requirements
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IAM, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
Proven experience implementing and managing OKTA Identity Cloud.
Strong understanding of healthcare IT environments and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH).
Experience with SSO, MFA, RBAC, and identity federation.
Familiarity with IAM protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM).
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred:
Certifications such as OKTA Certified Professional, CISSP, CISM, or HCISPP.
Experience with other IdP/IGA tools (SailPoint, EntraID, Savyint ).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their IAM models.
