Our client is seeking IAM Security Project Manager for New York, NY/Hybrid
Role Description
We are seeking an Information Security Project Manager with a strong focus on IAM and broader InfoSec initiatives to support Point72. This role sits at the intersection of security strategy, engineering delivery, and executive governance, ensuring structured execution and measurable outcomes across security programs.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex security and technology projects, ensuring clear scope, milestones, and stakeholder alignment
• Partner with security, engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable deliverables
• Track operational and delivery metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Build and maintain executive-level reporting (weekly 2x2s, Monthly Business Reviews, engineering forums)
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate (JIRA required)
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of project metrics and reporting
• Identify risks, resource constraints, and delivery challenges, and drive mitigation plans
• Help strengthen project management best practices within the InfoSec organization
• Segregation of Duties: Covered the principles and practices of segregation of duties to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure security and compliance within the organization.
• Compliance: Focused on understanding and adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies, ensuring that the organization meets all necessary legal and ethical standards.
• SailPoint IDN and SailPoint IDN Now: Explored the functionalities and differences between SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN) and its latest version, highlighting key features and improvements.
• Functionality and Non-functionality: Discussed both functional requirements (specific behaviors or functions of the system) and non-functional requirements (system attributes such as performance, usability, reliability).
• What is your role at Goldman Sachs: Asked about your current role at Goldman Sachs to understand your experience, responsibilities, and how they relate to the potential role at Sailpoint.
• Meeting with Stakeholders: Emphasized the importance of engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Skills and Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of project/program management experience
• 3+ years leading enterprise technology or cybersecurity initiatives
• Strong experience in:
• Agile delivery methodologies
• Executive-level reporting and governance forums
• Defining and tracking technology delivery metrics
• Proven ability to:
• Translate technical outputs into measurable KPIs
• Deliver cross-functional initiatives in structured, high-visibility environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (critical for success in this role)
• Experience in IAM / Information Security environments
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum)
