Our client is a prominent cooperative insurance firm specializing in the large gas and electricity sectors across the US. This unique model is owned by its policyholders, allowing for a dedicated focus on providing customized insurance solutions to clients. They are currently in search of an HR Generalist to be based in their headquarters in Tampa, supporting a total headcount of 45 employees.

Your new role

This role is ideal for someone eager to increase their HR expertise and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, evolving organization. As the first HR professional in the business, you will work closely with the General Counsel and take ownership of the full spectrum of HR, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, HRIS, training and development coordination, while also contributing to employee engagement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3–6 years of proven HR experience in a small to mid-sized, growing company—within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of core HR functions with a desire to grow professionally.
  • Experience with or exposure to HRIS systems such as Rippling, Bamboo, ADP or similar.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, along with a polished and professional demeanor that reflects the company’s values.
