Position Overview
A leading commercial general contractor in the Orlando market is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for large-scale hospitality and multifamily projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing block and plank construction, with a strong preference for hospitality builds. Multifamily experience using the same structural system is also highly valued. This role requires a proven ability to lead complex projects in the $50–$60 million range, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence from groundbreaking through turnover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain workflow and productivity
  • Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Manage logistics, deliveries, and sequencing of trades to optimize efficiency
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor quality control and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, RFIs, punch lists, and progress photos
  • Oversee inspections and ensure timely completion of milestones and occupancy certifications

Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
  • Demonstrated success managing block and plank hospitality or multifamily projects
  • Experience with projects valued between $50M–$60M
  • Strong understanding of structural systems, waterproofing, MEP coordination, and finish sequencing
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents and schedules
  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety training preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams

Preferred Experience
  • Hospitality projects with high-end finishes and complex amenity spaces
  • Garden-style or podium multifamily developments
  • CMAR or Design-Build delivery methods
  • Experience working in active environments or phased construction sites
