I'm seeking an experienced and highly motivated
General Superintendent
to lead the on-site execution of healthcare construction projects in the Miami area. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare construction, deep knowledge of local building codes, and exceptional leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all field operations for healthcare construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
  • Develop and manage construction schedules, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Supervise site activities including excavation, structural work, MEP installations, and interior finishes
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to guide construction activities
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and healthcare-specific construction requirements
  • Conduct daily site inspections and safety meetings; enforce OSHA and company safety policies
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, inspectors, and consultants
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and cost performance; proactively resolve field issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless coordination and timely decision-making


Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in healthcare projects
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
  • Proven experience with AHCA regulations and healthcare facility standards
  • Strong knowledge of South Florida building codes and permitting processes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
  • OSHA 30 certification required
