Our client is seeking a Gen AI COE Product Owner in Miami, FL.
Role Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Gen AI COE Product Owner to join our Data Analytics and AI team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the intake of business requests, demand management, prioritization, and delivering innovative AI-driven solutions that support key initiatives across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other product owners, to ensure the successful delivery of cutting-edge AI capabilities using tools such as Azure Databricks (including Mosaic AI), Azure OpenAI, and the Microsoft AI stack.
As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the strategy for our Gen AI Center of Excellence (COE), ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving value through AI-powered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Business Request Intake & Demand Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact for business teams to intake requests related to AI and data analytics projects.
o Oversee the demand management process, ensuring proper alignment between business priorities and AI capabilities.
o Assess and manage business needs, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively for high-priority initiatives.
• Product Roadmap & Prioritization:
o Lead the development and management of the product roadmap for AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
o Prioritize features and tasks for development based on business impact, technical feasibility, and resource availability.
o Continuously refine the backlog in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure value delivery.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication:
o Collaborate closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and development teams to define AI product requirements and success criteria.
o Ensure timely communication of project status, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders.
o Manage expectations and provide updates on deliverables, timelines, and outcomes.
• AI Product Development & Delivery:
o Work with the AI development teams to define, develop, and deliver AI-powered products and solutions.
o Ensure that product features meet business needs, are scalable, and deliver measurable impact.
o Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet quality standards before deployment.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the COE, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and AI capabilities.
o Analyze and monitor the performance of AI solutions post-deployment to ensure they meet business objectives and recommend improvements.
• Tool and Technology Oversight:
o Oversee the integration and usage of key AI tools and platforms within the organization, including:
? Azure databricks and Mosaic AI (for data engineering and AI model development).
? Azure OpenAI (for deploying advanced conversational AI models and natural language processing).
? Microsoft Copilot Studio (for integrating AI into workflows and business processes).
? Azure Machine Learning (for building and deploying machine learning models).
? Power BI (for data visualization and reporting).
? Azure AI Services (for building intelligent applications using pre-built APIs).
• Risk & Issue Management:
o Identify potential risks and issues with product delivery and take corrective actions as necessary.
o Ensure proactive management of dependencies, risks, and blockers to ensure timely delivery of product features.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
o Foster a collaborative environment among data science, engineering, and business teams to drive AI innovation and product delivery.
o Provide thought leadership on AI trends, tools, and methodologies to guide product development.
o Support the growth and development of junior team members by providing mentorship and guidance.
Skills & Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML-driven products.
o Experience with demand management, intake processes, and product prioritization in a technology-driven environment.
o Strong familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as Azure Databricks, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and other Microsoft AI solutions.
• Skills & Expertise:
o Deep understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, including data ingestion, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and technical teams.
o Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
o Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
o Relevant certifications in product management, AI, or data analytics are a plus
