Job Description:

  • Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of assigned field crews.
  • Communicates and enforces company safety policies and procedures, identifying training needs to maintain compliance.
  • Directs and coordinates daily activities of field personnel.
  • Evaluates team members’ skills and performance to ensure project readiness and effectiveness.
  • Identifies and resolves interpersonal or operational issues within the crew.
  • Ensures work is completed according to project plans and timelines, aligning crew efforts with production targets.
  • Monitors project schedules, identifies gaps or delays, and communicates necessary adjustments to relevant stakeholders.
  • Converts general project requirements into actionable plans for each team.
  • Adjusts workforce assignments and task schedules to meet production goals.
  • Conducts site inspections to determine installation methods and identify potential safety hazards.
  • Reports scheduling conflicts with other teams or subcontractors to appropriate contacts.
  • Prepares and submits required project documentation and reports.
  • Reviews and approves material requests.
  • Oversees time tracking and reporting for field employees.

Job Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil or highway construction, with expertise in installing large drainage systems and culverts.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling and planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physically capable of performing tasks such as standing, kneeling, walking, lifting, bending, and operating in outdoor environments.
  • Willingness to work approximately 10 hours per day, five to six days per week.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and near active traffic zones.
