Your new role
They are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their growing team. This role is critical to the success of their projects, as you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids across a variety of site development and civil infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with project managers and leadership to analyze plans, develop cost breakdowns, and support strategic growth initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
- 6–8+ years of experience estimating civil/site development projects
- Strong understanding of heavy civil, excavation, utilities, demolition, and general site work
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing detailed cost estimates
- Familiarity with estimating software (HCSS, B2W preferred; training available)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Experience collaborating with subcontractors and vendors during bid phases
- Knowledge of NYC and Tri-State area construction practices preferred
