Our client, an established General Contractor founded over 100 years ago with offices in Maryland and Virginia, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. With $250M in revenue and a goal of $500M by 2030, the 140-person firm focuses on new construction in K–12 schools, healthcare, senior living, light industrial, public safety, and cultural facilities, with projects ranging from $10M to $160M.

Your new role

You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for K–12, industrial, and healthcare projects ranging from $10M to $160M, reporting directly to the Director of Estimating.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and building detailed estimates for large-scale commercial construction, especially in education, healthcare, and industrial markets.
• Proficiency in Estimating Software – Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or Sage Estimating.
• Familiarity with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil systems relevant to institutional and commercial construction—critical for identifying project risks and building accurate estimates.
• Experience developing bid packages, analyzing subcontractor proposals, and collaborating with pre-construction teams to ensure competitiveness and scope alignment.
• Ability to clearly present estimate summaries and recommendations to the Director of Estimating and internal stakeholders.
