A well‑established civil contractor delivering large, complex infrastructure projects across multiple regions. The team is known for disciplined estimating, strong internal collaboration, and supporting project delivery teams with accurate, timely cost data.


Your new role

As an Estimator I, you will provide corporate‑level estimating support across all regions. You’ll lead the development of detailed estimates for large and technically challenging civil projects, working closely with construction teams, purchasing, and management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing full, detailed estimates for large and complex projects.
  • Reviewing plans, specifications, and owner requirements to fully understand scope.
  • Developing construction plans, means, and methods to support accurate estimates.
  • Performing quantity take‑offs and validating data quality.
  • Consulting with internal stakeholders to resolve design, schedule, and rate questions during bid preparation.
  • Presenting and reconciling estimates with capture teams and client groups.
  • Monitoring industry trends, cost data, and best practices.
  • Participating in site visits and pre‑bid meetings.
  • Establishing preliminary project schedules to support proposals.

What you'll need to succeed


  • Advanced degree in a related field or 4–7 years of relevant estimating experience.
  • Demonstrated success estimating large, complex civil projects.
  • Strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to lead portions of the bid effort.
  • Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid is required.
  • Ability to work with P6, CAD, and AGTEK (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
