My client is a nationally recognized real estate development firm with a strong portfolio of industrial and warehouse projects across the US. They manage projects from a developer's perspective — focusing on long-term asset value, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. As they expand their presence in the Houston market, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to support their growing pipeline. They have shifted focus from other divisions to more industrial projects with more than 18 projects in their pipeline to come and $1.5bn of projects completed so far.

Your new role

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial and warehouse developments. This role involves close collaboration with internal development, design, and construction teams to ensure project feasibility, cost control, and alignment with strategic objectives.

• Develop detailed cost estimates for ground-up industrial and warehouse projects, including site work, core/shell construction, and tenant improvements.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing; maintain strong relationships with key trade partners.
• Provide cost feedback during design development and value engineering phases.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align budgets with project goals and timelines.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and benchmarking tools to improve estimating accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules and phasing strategies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience, preferably with a focus on industrial, warehouse, or tilt-wall construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
