Your new role

As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and validating electrical systems during the commissioning phase of mission-critical projects. You’ll ensure that all electrical infrastructure—power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear—meets design specifications and operates flawlessly under real-world conditions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing commissioning plans and test procedures.
  • Performing functional and integrated system testing.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during commissioning.
  • Collaborating with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Documenting results and preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical commissioning for mission-critical facilities (data centers preferred).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, and industry commissioning standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
