Hays Construction is partnered with a national GC with expertise in building large-scale projects in the commercial, industrial and public sectors.

The firm is looking to hire a Director of Construction to be based in NYC.

This person will oversee and advise on various construction and design-build projects. They will also oversee all Pre-Construction and Project Management teams, along with budget and resource allocation duties.

Your new role

Some additional job duties for the Director of Construction:

- Technical reviews, scope and proposal development

- Support project schedules and timelines

- Work with Estimating on developing scope requirements and proposals

- Work directly with business development and marketing teams

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:

- Demonstrated tenure in construction management, including leadership

- Experience with public works projects is required

- Design-build background is preferred

- Designations like CCM, PE or RA are preferred but not required

- Some travel (mainly Tri-State area), will be part of this position
