Our client is seeking a DevTest Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO

Role Description

• Developing Testing Plans: Collaborating with developers to test embedded firmware images on physical devices using RDK Automatics pytest framework.
• Developing Test Cases: Writing detailed test cases in pytest using the RDK Automatics pytest Framework.
• Defect Management: Identifying and documenting bugs.
• Security Testing: Comfortable with security frameworks like EMBA.
• Collaboration: Working closely with developers to understand features, reproduce bugs, and ensure testability of the code.

Skills & Requirements

• Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of pytest and how to use it for both unit and integration tests.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to dissect complex systems and identify potential failure points.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Gitlab pipelines for running test pipelines.
Main Deliverables:
• Automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, security).
• Test plans and strategies.
• Detailed bug reports.
• Test execution reports and quality metrics.
• What we want out of a Dev Test Engineer compared to CI/CD
• Primary Focus: Quality of the firmware on the hardware device NOT Automation of the Delivery Process
• Testing: The correctness of the firmware behavior NOT How the pipeline runs.
• Expectations: Writing automated Tests, bug reports etc. NOT Working CI/CD Pipelines
• Code: RDK Automatics pytests NOT Pipeline YAML etc
