There are few construction companies working on design build projects, let alone have their own department for design build projects. The general contractor we are working with is looking for the next leader of this department. This person would be mentored and trained to run the design build department. Key Responsibilities:


• Proposal Development: Assist the Director with the creation and submission of comprehensive design and construction proposals. Ensure that proposals are compliant with client requirements and industry standards.

• Design Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop feasible, cost-effective design solutions that meet project objectives and constraints.

• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and budgets for design and construction phases. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective resource allocation.

• Client Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients during the proposal phase. Understand client needs and expectations and ensure these are effectively communicated to the design and construction teams.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk analysis for potential projects, considering factors like project scope, budget constraints, and regulatory compliance.

• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of professionals during the proposal phase, ensuring collaboration and effective communication between all parties involved.

• Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring critical milestones are met in the proposal and design stages.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all proposals and designs meet the highest standards of quality and adhere to all relevant building codes and regulations.

• Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the design-build sector.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in construction management, particularly in the design-build process.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, material procurement, and project management principles.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in relevant software
