Our client is seeking a Data Engineer - EM Development in Cincinnati, OH.
Role Description
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS Redshift.
• Optimize and manage Redshift clusters for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement data models and schemas to support business intelligence and analytics.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and architecture.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and AWS technologies.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports using Tibco Spotfire
Skills & Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on AWS Redshift.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Strong proficiency in Tibco Spotfire.
• Experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and Glue.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Knowledge on CICD process
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Big Data Specialty).
• Experience with other data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python.
• Understanding of data governance and security practices.
