Data Analyst– Contract– Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Vienna, VA (northern VA area) – $40.00-$47.00/hr.

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst in Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Vienna, VA (northern VA area).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks and Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS).
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights for business decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Kafka-based streaming data into analytics workflows.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Document processes, data flows, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Skills & Requirements

• 3-5 years experience
• Databricks
• Data modeling
• Azure
• Ideal candidates will have kafka experience
• 3–5 years of professional experience in data analysis or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering and analytics.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in Azure cloud services for data storage and processing.
• Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with Python or Scala for data manipulation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with big data frameworks (Spark) and distributed computing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
Soft Skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
