Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Platform Engineer in Denver, CO

Role Description

• Design, implement, and maintain secure configurations to align with the organization's Zero Trust strategy
• Conduct data and network analysis to support access control policies and micro segmentation strategies.
• Collaborate with teams to implement granular segmentation policies in alignment with Zero Trust principles.
• Participate in the design and implement secure configurations for security platforms (e.g., CSPM, SIEM, EDR, SOAR) across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Demonstrate a mastery of best practices for network and endpoint security solutions
• Integrate security platforms with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native services.
• Develop scripts to automate platform operations and monitoring.
• Analyze platform metrics and tune configurations for effectiveness.
• Support secure deployment of platforms in containerized and virtualized environments.
• Collaborate with teams to remediate platform vulnerabilities.
• Create dashboards and reports to visualize platform health and security posture.
• Conduct optimization and tuning of security platform configurations
• Design and implement segmentation policies based on network and data flow analysis
• Refine configurations and alerting thresholds for security monitoring
• Build dashboards for real-time security event monitoring and analysis
• Create scripts to automate platform monitoring and operations

Skills & Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security platform deployment/management.
• Expertise in network security, including experience with security platforms such as Zscaler, and other CSPM, SIEM, EDR, and SOAR solutions.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust principles, including micro segmentation, access control policies, and secure network design.
• Industry certifications in network security or related fields, such as CCNP Security, CISSP, or similar, with additional cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) being a plus.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to streamline network security operations a plus.
• Security Platforms: Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Splunk
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Automation Tools: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins
• Languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Container and Virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes, VMware
