Our client is seeking a Customer Engineer in Greer, SC.
Role Description
• This role will be onsite at a client location. Desk side Support/ PC Rollover Refresh Support/Android Scanner Provisioning/Network Port Patching
Excellent customer service. Strong technical background
Skills & Requirements
• No micro processing needed
• Must be able to have a flowing conversation
• Understanding of PC support
• Know where to find the name and address of a PC
• Must know that Basics can plug it in to the BMW way
• Reimaging is a big thing
• Use SCCM
• BIG thing – network closest – port parching and networking – they 7 bazillion ports – documenting and unplug and replug = understanding of a patch panel – have to have a foundation in patching
• Android and zebra scanner – logistics hall to scan the parts coming in - Warranty reups and repairs= scan bar code and returning them back to user (not a must have)
• PC refreshing and PC rollers
• How to know where and activate a Jack/port
• What a patch panel is
• What is a switch
• Know how to Make a connection in the panel closet
• Great communication
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a nice to have.
