Drive Financial Performance Across Major Projects

My client is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join their team and play a critical role in managing financial performance across major projects and operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in cost control, variance analysis, and financial reporting within the energy or manufacturing industry.

Your new role
  • Manage cost control processes, including monitoring budgets and expenditures for projects and operational sites.

  • Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance.

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management for informed decision-making.

  • Oversee capital expenditure planning and financial planning & analysis for construction projects.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Implement cost control measures to optimize efficiency and profitability.

  • Assist with internal audits and control reviews to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

  • Ensure adherence to financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

    What you'll need to succeed
  • 7–10 years of finance experience in the energy or manufacturing sector.

  • Strong background in cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis.

  • Proven ability to deliver actionable insights and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Expertise in financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with ERP platforms preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
