Your new role
You’ll be responsible for light system installation, system start-up, commissioning, and service of building automation systems. You’ll collaborate with project managers and field technicians to ensure systems meet engineering specifications and client expectations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Technical degree in engineering or related field preferred, or Associate’s degree/equivalent in HVAC or BAS from a two-year college or technical school.
- 3–5 years of experience in HVAC-related fields, including control wiring, troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and DDC.
- Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot DDC programming, including component selection and circuit sketches.
- Strong multitasking skills across multiple projects.
- Experience labeling circuit wiring, testing equipment, and identifying operational issues.
- Familiarity with electrical regulations, code compliance, panel layout, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Preferred experience with BACnet, LON, Modbus, AutoCAD, Visio, and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of motion controllers and human-machine interfaces.
- Ability to repair and debug control devices and create documentation based on schematics and wiring plans.
- Coordination with project managers and other technicians is essential.
- General job-specific training will be provided, but self-driven learning is expected.
