A Real Estate company is seeking a
Property Accounting Controller
to lead their property accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing the monthly close process, ensuring financial accuracy, and mentoring a high-performing team. Your new role

In your new role, you will be responsible for overseeing the monthly close process and financial reporting across all properties, ensuring the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses. You will present financial reports and key insights to senior leadership, while maintaining compliance with lease agreements and internal control standards. Additionally, you will lead and mentor the property accounting team, collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and budgeting processes, and ensure timely tax reporting. Your role will also support the preparation of SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q reports.

What you'll need to succeed

You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and bring 7–10 years of experience in commercial real estate property accounting. A CPA designation is preferred, reflecting your strong foundation in financial principles and regulatory standards. You are proficient in Yardi Voyager and the Microsoft Office Suite, and you possess strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills. Your professional approach is marked by integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
