Revenue Controller Position Available in Miami - On-Site - Construction Company
Your new company
You will join a forward-thinking and innovative organization committed to strengthening financial discipline, modernizing accounting operations, and driving continuous improvement. With an emphasis on automation, advanced analytics, and agentic AI-enabled solutions, the organization is focused on building scalable, efficient processes that deliver timely insights and support strategic decision-making.
Your new role
As Controller, Revenue, you will hold enterprise-wide accountability for the Home Sales and Cost of Sales accounting processes, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606). You will oversee all related accounting activities, including revenue recognition at closing, inventory relief, settlement receivables, and other revenue streams such as forfeited deposits, warranties, services, and management fees.
You will lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis, while presenting insights to senior leadership. The role also includes ownership of revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls within a SOX-compliant environment.
A key focus of this position is driving transformation—leading end-to-end process optimization initiatives through automation, digital tools, and agentic AI solutions to eliminate manual workflows and improve data transparency. You will partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, procurement, treasury, and internal audit to enhance systems, improve data quality, and ensure alignment across the organization. In addition, you will support audit activities and play a leadership role in developing, mentoring, and guiding a high-performing team.
What you'll need to succeed
You are a CPA-qualified accounting leader with 10+ years of progressive experience, including time in public accounting and/or a public company environment. Strong expertise in US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition, is required, along with experience in a SOX-regulated environment. Exposure to real estate and/or construction accounting is highly preferred.
You bring a proven track record of process improvement, leveraging frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma, and have experience implementing automation and digital solutions across the record-to-report cycle. Familiarity with systems such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Hyperion/Essbase, Blackline, Power BI, or Alteryx is advantageous, along with hands-on experience using agentic or LLM-based AI tools (e.g., Copilot or similar).
You are an analytical, forward-thinking problem solver who is comfortable challenging the status quo and translating financial data into actionable insights. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are critical, along with the ability to design and implement scalable, technology-enabled solutions.
What you'll get in return
You will have the opportunity to take on a highly visible leadership role within a modern, evolving finance organization. This position offers the chance to shape the future of revenue accounting through automation and AI, while influencing strategic outcomes and driving operational excellence. You will work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, professional development, and continuous improvement, alongside a $150,000-200,000/year salary, 10-15% bonus, 401k matching program, and PTO — in addition, you will receive comprehensive health and dental benefits. This position is full-time in-office, and they are looking for someone to start ASAP.
