About the Opportunity
A well‑established and rapidly growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead ground‑up retail construction projects across the Miami area. This company is known for delivering high‑quality, fast‑paced retail builds—ranging from national brand stores to stand‑alone commercial sites—and is looking for a hands‑on leader who can drive projects from site prep to turnover.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead on‑site construction activities for ground‑up retail projects from start to finish
- Manage field crews, subcontractors, schedules, and inspections
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Maintain daily logs, track progress, report updates, and resolve field issues
- Oversee quality control, site coordination, and subcontractor performance
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, design teams, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
- Proven track record delivering ground‑up retail projects (e.g., big‑box, stand‑alone retail, national brands, pads, specialty retail)
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Excellent leadership, communication, and site coordination skills
- Thorough understanding of scheduling, inspections, and construction sequencing
- Knowledge of Miami and South Florida building codes preferred
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus
