Join a solid company with a solid culture and a huge pipeline of work. Hybrid work setup!
Your new company
This company is a NYC general contractor that has been around for 21 years. They have a total of 6 active projects ranging from 20-40M in hard costs, and a group of 30 more smaller jobs that their service division handles. Very busy company! They focus on public sector, local government agency jobs. You should have experience with NYCSCA, DASNY, NYCHA, DDC, NYCTA, MTA,, SUNY/CUNY, etc. The company is also one of those rare few that really does prioritize the employee. Seeing their office was another reminder of this. Game room, break rooms, rest pods, weight room, etc. The goal is to bridge the gap between the field and the office, so team-building events are extremely important. They are still growing, so they are looking for a solid Project Manager to join the team.
Your new role
As a Project Manager for this company, you will oversee one or more projects in the public sector. This could be an MTA station restoration project, a NYCHA residential renovation job, or even work on a new public school. All projects take place in the boroughs, and they will move people around according to what is most convenient for the employee. This position is salaried, and the PM gets 2 bonuses per year based on the number of projects. If you have 2 projects, that means 4 bonuses per year! And they are pretty big! The nature of this role means that your schedule will be hybrid. You will only need to go to the office (in Queens) if you have a meeting with the team. As long as your VP knows what is going on and that you have things under control, you can work from home/the site! Flexible working arrangements are the backbone of a solid company culture.
