This subcontractor started in the 1970s and has been a key player in the mid-Atlantic region as a concrete subcontractor. They started in the mainland DMV and expanded on to the Eastern Shore, working across the Delmarva region to expand their footprint.

Your new role

In this position, you will be acting as the Field Manager and looking after up to 15 active projects at any time. Your duties will include contract reviews, allocation of equipment, scheduling, safety protocols, subcontractor management, managing construction, pre-construction planning, cold weather concreting, execution of change orders, job costing, time clock approvals, managing budgets and more. This position will have oversight of all projects taking place across the region and will involve daily site visits to monitor progress and safety, as well as regular time in the office to deal with administration, project planning and more.

Projects will be residential and small commercial, budgeted up to $1m. Sectors can include residential, retail, metal buildings, etc.

What you'll need to succeed

Minimum 7 years' experience in Concrete Construction. We are ideally looking for individuals with experience in new concrete construction projects including layouts, footings, cast-in-place walls, slab on grade, slab on metal deck, structural slabs and site concrete work. The individual must have experience with small concrete projects. We will also need experience with proper construction safety implementation, plan reading, shop drawing creation, scheduling, pricing/budgeting/negotiating, crew and quality management, job costing and more. Working knowledge of Spanish will be highly beneficial.
