Construction Project Manager required to deliver complex construction projects in San Francisco

Your new company

Our client, a highly respected San Francisco Bay Area General Contractor, is hiring an experienced Project Manager due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work. The firm is known for delivering complex, detail‑driven projects and offers a rare combination of long‑term stability, technical excellence, and a people‑focused culture.

Your new role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of challenging projects from preconstruction through closeout. You’ll work closely with owners, architects, consultants, and internal field teams to manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety. This is a hands‑on role suited to a Project Manager who enjoys solving complex problems, leading teams, and taking ownership of outcomes on projects that matter.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
  • Proven experience delivering complex or technically challenging projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface confidently with clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Solid background in cost control, scheduling, subcontractor management, and change management
  • Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6, Procore, Sage Timberline, Bluebeam, and Microsoft 365
  • A proactive, collaborative leadership style

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive base salary of $150,000 – $165,000 depending on experience
  • The opportunity to work for a stable, well‑respected Bay Area contractor with a strong backlog
  • Exposure to diverse, high‑profile projects that will strengthen your technical and leadership experience
  • A supportive culture with experienced leadership, strong systems, and long employee tenure
  • Clear potential for long‑term career growth, not just the next project
