Job Title: Commercial Construction Superintendent

Location: Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex

Specialization: Class A Interior Construction Projects

About the Role:

My client is an established construction company in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex area. As a company, they pride themselves on a great culture that fosters a collaborative environment. Right now, they are seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Superintendent with a strong background in Class A interior construction projects to join that team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of the project life cycle, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications. This includes coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
  • Manage construction projects from start to finish. This involves planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control) and providing day-to-day direction of on-site administrative staff.
  • Maintain close relationships with owners and clients. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, and work closely with them to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Ensure project budgets and timelines are strictly adhered to. Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modifying construction methods or re-sequencing tasks.
  • Ensure the quality of work and materials is upheld. This includes conducting regular inspections and ensuring the project complies with all building and safety codes.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are followed at all times. Develop and implement safety policies and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven tenure in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Class A interior construction projects
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
