Our client is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer - Storage Platforms in Denver, CO.

Role Description

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Responsible for design of storage solutions which will be used in Charter production environments.
• Installing and maintaining of storage hardware and software in lab environment, including provisioning, decommissioning, and data migrations.
• Assisting with storage procurement, capacity forecasting and communication with vendors.
• Identifying and performing functionality and performance testing of storage solutions.
• Automation of storage provisioning and test cases.
• Responsible for certification of new and existing storage hardware and software which will be used in Charter production environments.
• Ability to work in cross-functional team.
• Responsible for creation and maintain documentation including Storage Certifications, Implementation guides, bulletins, and designs.
• Provide input and feedback to architecture team members and act as SME on storage technology
• The ability to multi-task and juggle between priorities as needed.
• Responsible for the security design of storage solutions.
• Performs other duties as requested by manager

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or related and/or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced experience with legacy vendor storage array hardware and software (Dell EMC, Pure Storage, Netapp, Vast Data), SAN FC and IP switching (Brocade and Cisco MDS), Software Defined Storage (Ceph, MinIO) and Block, File, and Object Storage protocols.
• Advanced storage engineering experience working in a fast paced, dynamic enterprise environment.
• Responsible for working with Charter business units to identify storage solutions that fit the business requirements.
• Staying on top of cutting-edge storage technology in the industry, including continued research and discussions with vendors and storage groups.
• Advanced working experience with Brocade BNA and SANnav, Cisco DCNM, Dell/EMC Solutions Enabler and SRS, NetApp OCUM, Virtana Workload Wisdom, Pure1 Manage and HPE InfoSight
• Advanced experience with compute platforms such as Cisco UCS, Dell, HPE. VMware, OpenStack, Networking, … … etc.
• Advanced experience with backup solutions and the integrations they may have with other software including Microsoft, VMware, OpenStack, etc.
• Working knowledge of BC and DR concepts and solutions and what benefits, drawbacks, and integrations the storage layer has with BC/DR.
• Working knowledge of Backup and Recovery solutions.
• Advanced experience with how local storage architectures interact and integrate with cloud provider storage solutions.
• Advanced knowledge in robot framework to automate QA testing and robotic processes.
• Advanced experience with Virtana Workload Wisdom and FIO for benchmarking and performance testing.
• Advanced experience with TestRail to streamline testing processes.
• Advanced experience creating technical drawings and schematics using Lucid chart or visio.
• Advanced experience working in a SAFe/Agile environment utilizing Jira Portfolio/Jira Align to manage projects and daily tasks.

• Certifications including:
• SNIA certified Storage Engineer (SCSE), Architect (SCSA) or Networking Expert (SCSN-E)
• Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA)
• Brocade Certified Network Engineer (BCNE)
• EMC Proven Professional
• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)
• NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer Administrator (NCIE)
