Our client is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer in Miami, FL.

Skills & Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based data solutions and data warehousing in large enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
• Snowflake (data modeling, transformation, performance tuning)
• AWS (data infrastructure, storage, and compute services)
• dbt (data transformation, scheduling, and orchestration)
• SQL (advanced querying, optimization)
• Python and Bash scripting for automation
• Experience with ETL tools: Fivetran, Matillion, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
• Familiarity with Airflow and Control-M for pipeline orchestration
• Strong understanding of OLTP/OLAP, dimensional modeling, and data partitioning/indexing
• Experience with GitHub for version control and JIRA/Confluence for Agile collaboration
• Proven ability to build and maintain data products and support legacy-to-cloud transformations
• Must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders

Job Description
The Cloud Data Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing robust data pipelines, ensuring high data quality and security in cloud environments. This includes automating tasks using dbt, Python, Snow SQL, and Bash, while continuously researching new technologies to enhance scalability. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting both legacy and modern data systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement data pipelines to move and transform data into cloud-based data warehouses
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, Snowflake Streams & Tasks, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and PL SQL
• Optimize data storage and retrieval through partitioning, indexing, and compression strategies
