Our client is seeking a Certificate Lifecycle Management Specialist- First Horizon in Remote opportunity.
Role Description
First Horizon have engaged AppViewX (OEM) to design and provide a base installation. First Horizon is additionally wanting to engage a vendor to onboard ~1000 certificates into the lifecycle management system, to include ownership, expiration notification and automated renewal where possible.
In Scope Activities:
1. Certificate Discovery, Inventory and Owner identification
a. Perform comprehensive discovery across the environment to identify existing certificates and their attributes
b. Establish and document certificate ownership and ensure AppViewX and Service Now have complete records
2. Integration
a. Integrate AppViewX with Service Now to automate ticketing, approval workflows, and audit trails
b. Configure integrations with certificate authorities (CAs), infrastructure endpoints (load balancers, web servers, app servers), and other relevant systems
c. Ensure compatibility and support for multiple types of certificates (SSL/TLS, code signing, client certificates, federation)
3. Certificate Lifecycle Automation, Testing and Deployment
a. Collaborate with application teams to test certificate renewal, deployment, and rollback workflows
b. Establish a coordinated process to automate certificate renews (including CSR generation, approval, issuance, deployment, and validation)
c. Define and document group specific requirements for certificate installation, permissions, and system restart/reload needs
4. Policy and Governance
a. Help design and implement certificate policies (naming conventions, validity periods, key size, algorithms, etc.)
b. Establish reporting policies to adhere to internal and regulatory requirements
c. Ensure audit readiness
5. Documentation, Training and Knowledge Transfer
a. Develop standardized operating procedures for certificate management
b. Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions for associates with differing roles (admins, application owners, readers)
c. Provide documentation conversing workflows, escalation paths and troubleshooting guides
Skills & Requirements
1. Establishing the AppViewX environment at First Horizon
2. Licensing (all licensing to be provided by First Horizon)
3. Implementation of use cases that are not handled by AppViewX out of the box
4. BAU Support
5. Experience Level: Senior engineers or consultants with 7+ years can command $150K+.
6.Tool Expertise: Proficiency in AppViewX, ServiceNow, and PKI systems increases value.
7. Automation Skills: Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell), CI/CD, and integration boosts compensation.
Industry: Finance, healthcare, and government sectors often pay more for compliance-heavy roles.
