A well-established and growing general contractor is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of growth across the Colorado market.
This is a newly created position, offering the chance to step into a high-visibility role where you’ll have real ownership in shaping pipeline, building relationships, and influencing long-term strategy.

Your new role
- Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across the local market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, architects, and owners
- Develop a consistent pipeline of opportunities aligned with company growth goals
- Lead early-stage conversations with prospective clients, understanding their needs and positioning tailored solutions
- Support pursuit strategy, including proposals, presentations, and interviews
- Actively participate in networking events, industry associations, and community initiatives
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from pursuit to project delivery
- Track pipeline activity and maintain accurate CRM data
- Stay informed on market trends, project activity, and competitor positioning
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within commercial construction (or a closely related industry)
- Understanding of how projects are won, including familiarity with delivery methods such as negotiated work, design-build, or competitive bids
- A natural relationship builder with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage time, priorities, and territory independently
- Energetic, proactive, and comfortable being out in the market regularly
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
