Building Engineer - Austin, TX

Hays Property and Facilities is partnered with a well-known owner, operator, real estate firm who are looking to hire a Building Engineer for their Class A, Highrise office building in downtown Austin, TX. With a successful project pipeline, this is a great time to join an expanding, active team.
Your new role
As a Building Engineer, you will oversee and perform all routine and preventive maintenance in order to maintain the physical integrity of the portfolio. You will be responsible for direct supervision of the engineering department and staff. You will be in charge of the operations, installations, repairs and overall maintenance of the buildings.
What you’ll need to succeed
• 5+ years as a Building Engineer
• Experience with commercial offices (high-rise is a plus)
• Experience with capital projects
• Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Building Systems & more
• Great communication skills & attention to detail
• Experience with acquisitions is a plus
• Experience with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, DEP and Life Safety codes
