Our client is seeking a BSA x 2 in Vienna, VA

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive FIA II – Alert Triage Analyst to join our Financial Intelligence team. This role is responsible for the initial review and triage of alerts related to potential suspicious activity, ensuring compliance with BSA/AML regulations and supporting the organization’s anti-financial crime efforts.

• Review, analyze, and triage alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems to identify potential suspicious activity.
• Conduct initial investigations and escalate cases as appropriate for further review.
• Document findings and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other analysts and compliance staff to ensure timely and effective alert resolution.
• Utilize Verafin (preferred) and other transaction monitoring tools to assess alerts.
• Stay current on BSA/AML regulations, trends, and best practices.
• Assist in preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies as needed.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in BSA/AML compliance, preferably within a financial institution.
• Hands-on experience with Verafin transaction monitoring software strongly preferred.
• CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification preferred or a plus.
• Prior experience working in a financial institution is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance systems.
• Experience with other AML transaction monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of current financial crime trends and typologies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• BSA/AML experience at least 2 years or more
• Verafin experience preferred
• CAMS experience a plus or preferred
• Financial institution experienced preferred
