BMS Engineer

Your new Company:
As a BMS Engineer, you will be primarily field-based, working across NY and NJ on commercial and institutional sites. You’ll collaborate with our engineering team to design, install, and optimize building automation systems, with a strong focus on retrofit projects and system integration.


Your New Role:
  • Install, configure, and commission BMS systems (Honeywell, Distech, JCI)
  • Perform retrofits and upgrades to improve system performance and energy efficiency
  • Collaborate with mechanical contractors and engineers on-site
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with sensors, valves, controllers, and networked devices
  • Develop and interpret control sequences and flow diagrams
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and service records


What you need to succeed:
  • 3+ years of experience in BMS or building automation engineering
  • Proficiency in Honeywell, Distech, or Johnson Controls (JCI) platforms
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and system integration
  • Experience with retrofitting and upgrading legacy systems
  • Comfortable with field work across NY/NJ
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A degree in engineering or a related field is a plus, but can be substituted with relevant experience.
