Our client is seeking a Azure Data Analysts in Raleigh, NC
Role Description
• Work with ADF-these hired contractors will be managing data workflows, using Azure Data Factory (ADF) which is a powerful tool in Microsoft's ecosystem. ADF is comprised of ETL tools: used for extracting, transforming and loading data which essentially helps to move and reshape data from various sources to a usable format. ADF is fully managed and serverless and involves data integration, which connects to a wide range of data sources; both on prem and the cloud, essentially integrating into a centralized system.
Work with Datatbricks- they will be using Databricks (cloud based data platform) which will help manage, analyze and gain insights from massive amounts of data. Databricks will combine data engineering, data science and business analytics in one place- its an unified platform. Its built on Apache Spark and has lakehouse architecture which merges the best of data lakes (flexibility) and data warehouses (performance and reliability)
• SQL Warehouse - They will use SQL Warehouse, which is high-performance, scalable data storage and query engine designed specifically for analytics and reporting using SQL (Structure Query Language)- this is used for modern architecture like a lakehouse or data warehouse solution
• ADLS Gen2 Hot Tier- this refers to Hot Tier in Auzre Data Lake Storage Gen 2 (ADLS Gen2) - they will use this which is designed to store data that is accessed or modified frequently. This is part of Azure's tiered storage system that helps optimize cost and performance based on how often data is used.
• Azure Monitoring and Log Analytics- These are the eyes and ears of your Azure environment, keeping tabs on performance, health and security. Its a very comprehensive platform that collects, analyzes and acts on telemetry data from your Azure resources and applications. The hired workers will be able to track preformance and availability, detest and diagnose issues, set up alerts and automated responses and visual data with dashboard and workbooks.
• Unity Catalog- They will work with this centralized data governance solution (developed by Databricks) to manage and secure data and AI assetts across the org. It helps simplify how things are organized, discovered, audited, and provides controll access
• Greaty Expectations: this refers to integrating the open-source data quality framework into Databricks workflows to ensure data is clean, reliable and trustworthy.
• Also referred to as "GX" its a python-based tool that lets you define expectations about your data; it validates data against those expecations and it generates documentation and reports and data quality.
Databricks in Notebooks- they will work with this core workspace where data scientists, engineers, and analysts write the code, run experiments and collaborate - it falls within the Databricks platform.
• Delta Live Table (DLT) pipelines- they will use this to build automated, reliable and scalable data flows using declarative approach. Instead of manually orchestrating every step of your ELT (Extract, Transform, and Load); they will be able to describe what they want their data to look like -
Skills & Requirements
• Must have Azure experience as it relates to :
• ADF which stands for Azure Data Factory- must have experience copying and mapping data flows; and experience with pipeline orchestrator
• Must have Databricks experience
• experience with interactive clustering and job clustering
• Must have SQL Warehouse experience
• Must have experience in ADLS Gen 2 Hot Tier
• Must have Azure Monitor/Log Analytics experience
• Must have Unity Catalogue experience
• Must have experience in Great Expectations within Databricks
• Also referred to as GX
• Must have experience in Databricks Notebooks
• Must have experience in Delta Live Table (DLT) pipelines
