Your new company
My client is a general contracting company based in Maryland, specializing in diverse construction projects such as office buildings, mixed-use developments, industrial facilities and educational structures. They are known for their focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction; combining large-scale expertise with personalized service. Due to the growing nature of their business and a robust pipeline of projects, they are looking to add an Assistant Superintendent to their team.
Your new role
- Support the superintendent in managing daily construction site operations.
- Coordinate schedules and activities for subcontractors and trades.
- Inspect work progress to ensure adherence to project plans and safety standards.
- Maintain open communication with project stakeholders and provide updates on site progress.
- Monitor quality control by reviewing materials, equipment, and workmanship.
- Oversee site safety measures, ensuring compliance with regulations and protocols.
- Assist in resolving any on-site issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Track project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site meetings with workers and subcontractors to review objectives.
- Prepare daily logs and reports to document site activities and progress.
What you'll need to succeed
- A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; experience within a subcontractor/in the trades will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Some experience in the construction sector as a Foreman, Field Engineer, Assistant Super or Superintendent within a subcontractor or general contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards and quality control
- Ability to coordinate schedules, subcontractors and trades effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Knowledge and ability to implement safety standards in accordance with regulations
- Willingness to learn and grow to the next stage in your career.

Base Salary up to $85,000 per annum depending on experience + bonus & benefits.
